These terms govern your use of AfterLesson ("the app"), made by Borderless Labs ("we", "us").
By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. What AfterLesson is
AfterLesson helps a private music teacher turn quick post-lesson notes into a message for a student's
parent. The app drafts the text; you review and send it yourself from your own messaging apps.
The app does not send messages on your behalf and is not a communication platform.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the content you enter and the messages you send. **Review every recap before
sending it** — the draft is AI-generated and may occasionally be inaccurate.
- You will only enter information about students that you are permitted to record, and you will obtain
any consent your local laws or your studio's policies require before messaging parents.
- You will use the app lawfully and not to send unlawful, harassing, or misleading messages.
3. AI-generated content
Recaps are generated with a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) from the notes you provide. AI output
can contain errors or wording you didn't intend. You are the author of what you send; we are not
responsible for the content of recaps you choose to send.
4. Your data
Your roster and recap history are stored on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how
information is handled, including the transient use of a backend to generate recaps.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- AfterLesson offers a free tier (a limited number of recaps per month) and a paid subscription for
unlimited recaps.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their
terms. Payment is charged to your store account; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store / Google Play account settings — not in the
app. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period is not pro-rated.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their policies.
- Prices may change; we'll give notice as required by the stores.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the recap service available but don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. The app's
local features (your roster and saved recaps) keep working even if recap generation is temporarily
unavailable.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are
not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the content of messages you send. Nothing
here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note them with the
app release. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
